Product Introduction MTBE is produced via catalytic reaction.distillation and seperation with raffinated C4 and methanol as raw materials.The process technology was developed by QILU and designed jointly with JGC of Japan.The unit annual capacity is 20,000 tons. Physical and Chemical Properties MTBE is a kind of water-white,volatile,explosive and inflammable liquid with density of 0.745oC,boiling point of 55.3oC freezing point of -108.6oC,flashing point of -26.7oC,motor octane number of 101 and research octane number 118,and exhibits high resistance to oxidation. Package,Transportation and Storage The package,transportation and storage of the product should be in accordance with SH0164 Applications The product could be used as additives for unleaded high octane number gasoline and also in the manufacture of high-purity isobutene by catalytic cracking.
